Case studies – often called customer success stories – are a valuable marketing tool. Of course, your prospects to read your brochures and websites. However, going to take what you hear with a grain of salt. Customer success stories to tell the story of your company through the eyes of his client and as a result, carry a great deal of weight with potential clients.

Writing a case study of marketing has seven basic steps:

  1. Selection customers. First, choose the client you want to see appear in your customer success story. Your experience with your company should be positive, and should have results measurable to show their company has created an ROI for them. Once you have selected your client, ask your permission to tell their success story and explain what that's in it for them – for example, increasing brand awareness and possible media attention.
  2. Writer selection. You two options to write your case study: outsource the project or create one at home. Many companies choose to use freelance writers because it is often easier for customers to share their opinions with someone outside your company.
  3. Interview process. Before interviewing the customer, the writer should gather all information they can internally. It's worth being prepared. During the interview, ask open questions about the challenges facing the company, why you chose as its solution, and what type of results generated solution.
  4. Writing. The typical format of case studies is fundamentally the challenge, implementation and results. Essentially, you are presenting the history of the client from start to finish. But feel free to use the creative parts or even change the format if it makes sense. Customer stories tend to be formulas, and a little variety shakes things up. Be sure to include as many specifics on the number and return on investment in the case study as possible – facts and figures are the best way to demonstrate results.
  5. The review and approval. Carefully review the history of the end client and his client the same. Keep in mind that several people at your customer's organization must sign the draft study case – including marketing, public relations and legal department. This can sometimes take time, so be patient and follow up when necessary.
  6. Design. Use a graphic designer from her home in graphics department or a freelance designer to present a case study with a lot graphics and white space. Appointments, toolbars, tables, graphs and photos to make additions to the disposition of its interesting history of the client. If you do not know any independent graphic designers, freelance writer can probably recommend one.
  7. Distribution. Once The case study is completed, get the voice. Send it to bloggers in their industry, trade magazines, local media, email lists, and include it in their newsletter. And be sure to print a few copies for your sales force. Find it a powerful tool for use throughout the process sales.
